This little board is very easy to connect up. Just 4 screw terminals, 2 the track and 2 to the controller. There is only one adjustment from approx 2 seconds to 3 ½ minutes via a small screw driver. Turning the adjustment clockwise will decrease the running time. I have set and tested the unit for about 30 seconds.
Input 6 – 12 volts (note if using Z Gauge only 9 volts maximum. The 2 two diodes are supplied and should be fitted to the stations at the end of the track leaving enough room for the Loco and the carriages going the other way. They should be fitted with the white stripe as shown in the drawing. I would always fit a fuse between this unit and the track of about 1.5 amps so as to protect the board and the Loco if it should stall or short out.

Andy, compatible with dcc operation?
Colin.
Hi there the simple answer is no But. I have designed these units to run on a length of track I.E. going around the layout in and out of tunnels what ever looks nice and fed from a 7-18volt supply depending on the loco. This is total independent of ddc system. If you can get a dcc unit that will apply power to a track then you would be able to connect the output to the board and it would be ddc controlled. The board is so if you have a cheap loco and want to automate your layout like i did I built a coal shed that the loco and waggon fitted into and at the other end a boat. then the loco comes out of the coal shed and stops at the boat then reverses back to the shed (no need for dcc decoders in that bit).Hope this helps Regards Andy Quirot

Hi there
1 Diode goes at each end not both at same end.
Yes you need to cut the track and fit the diodes 1 at each end. To test where to fit the diodes use a bit of masking tape on the rail that will stop the loco you can move the tape till you find the best position.
If you still have problems then please contact me with more info as (it don’t work) is not much help.
